Dr. Xia has 15+ years of research experience in the field of liver diseases. By studying the interactions of HBV (Hepatitis B virus) and the host, Dr. Xia has been trying to elucidate the immune tolerance mechanisms of chronic HBV infection.
Dr. Xia obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China and received his post-doctoral training at the Institute Pasteur, France.
