Dr. Gang Liu has extensive pharmaceutical R&D experience in both process development and drug discovery. Before joining Zhimeng Biopharma, Dr. Liu was the Associate Director at Porton Pharma Solutions, Ltd., focusing on process research and development. Under his leadship, his group finished 30+ projects contracted from various pharmaceutical companies, involving RM, RSM and API production. These projects helped to advance the client pipelines at various clinical stages, from pre-clinical API preparation to phase III material supplies.
Prior to Porton Pharma Solutions, Dr. Liu was a Senior Scientist at Lilly China R&D Center in Shanghai, conducting drug discovery research for diabetes and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Peking University and conducted postdoctoral research on the drug discovery for Niemann-Pick Type-C (an inherited rare disease) at the University of Notre Dame, USA.
